Friday Photo Shoot Out- Gardens

In Hawaii, you can drive 5 miles and it feels like you've entered a new country! The scenery changes so much here. I happen to live in the side of the island that mostly looks like the desert! So I decided to visit a botanical garden.

I visited Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden in Kaneohe.

Hope you enjoy my photos. I didn't have a lot of time to write about each. Maybe I'll come back later and do it.

You have presented the beauty and flavor of Hawaii, very well. Thanks. P.S. I bet it gets hot in that cave.

I think caves are actually cooler than the rest of the air. Anyway, I LOVE the shot of the tree and the water - very peaceful setting.

Well, I am just so far behind I just found out we had another shooter. Welcome.

You did a beautiful job on everything but I especially love the statue and the way you used that tree to frame the water. Now, "That's shootin'" as we say around these parts.

Oh, and the bamboo is great. I like the closeup. Same goes for the orange flower.

Love that cave. I could become and hermit live there!

We have another shooter from Hawaii. Thanks for showing us your state through your eyes.

I hit the follow button, so now I know where you are.

The small cave was actually a kiln for making charcoal.

Thank you for visiting my site. I like the photo where the branch looks like a picture frame for the tree across the water.

The New Zealanders used to love visiting Hawaii. There is something very romantic about your islands.

Every time I see photos Hawaii....I wanted to go back there....I really miss Hawaii now! I have lived in Hawaii for 4 years but I haven't been to that botanical garden in Kaneohe (so weird huh) but I've been to botanical garden in Hilo Big island hehehe. Nice pictures especially the tree with its reflection on the lake....and the "nene" (??) too hahaha. My kids love ducks.

I love to visit botanical gardens - you can often get flowers from different areas and different times of year. I love the tree beside the lake (or pond?)
