Punchbowl Cemetary

Here are the pictures from Punchbowl Cemetary. I decided to go around lunchtime, so the sun was really bright and I wasn't able to get pictures that I really liked. I plan to go back though because it's really, really pretty.

Hi Kelly!!! What a fantastic blog you have going here and I'm so pleased that you are joining us for "Friday Shoot-Outs"!! Awesome shot's you've posted here my lady :)
You can post them anyway that you wish. There are no rules here. We just have a different subject matter each week and post the snaphots that correspond. Every person's interpretation is a little different which makes it so very interesting. After all, isn't that really what photography and all media is about? Interpretation........
If you have a moment or two of your life that you'd care to waster, please visit me at myy blog and say hello.
Hope your weekend is filled with much love, joy and laughter and........

Neat bunch of photos. Really enjoy seeing a little bit of a lot of places. Go to http://crisfieldnews.blogspot.com/ if you have not done so before. List of our town blog posts.

Mine is on Virginia lighthouses. Might make you even more eager to return to The Old Dominion.

Beautiful pictures, Kelly!

I love the one with the closeup of the gnarled tree with the sinuous branches! The cemetery looks very peaceful!

I just discovered Mark's theme for next week, Lighthouses! I know we don't have a lighthouse here, so it will take some creativity to find something to pohtograph!

These photos were all taken at the National Memorial Cemetary of the Pacific. The cemetary is located in the Pu'Owaina Crater and in ancient times was called "The Hill of Sacrifice". It is now a memorial to all that have sacrificed in our Armed Forces. This cemetary overlooks Diamond Head and Honolulu. So I thought it was necessary to capture the scenery all around the cemetary as well as gravesites. I'm sorry I didn't add more details about my photos. Thanks for the comments!

Great that you have joined the Friday shoot-out. I loved the line of trees (# 2) with the dappling of sunlight. great.
thanks for your comments on Flowers, I love to hear from new readers. I never thought of being stateside as being in a different culture, but of course it is - your only advantage is that English is spoken. will look forward to seeing your world.
