USS Bremerton Dependents Cruise

Last week I went on a dependents cruise and it was so much fun!!!! A bunch of the wives and family members were able to go on our sailor's submarine and see what they do. I have obviously never seen my husband do his job because it's on a submarine in the ocean! Well, this day, we got to go to sea with them for about 7 hours! It was a blast! So here are some pictures from that day...

Some Navy Wives hanging out before the small boat picked us up.
Laura Hotchkiss

I was able to get a shot of the Arizona Memorial on the way out to meet the boat.

This is the USS Bremerton. We were taken in a small boat to meet the submarine. We got right up next to it and they put a little walkway up for us to cross over and then we climbed down a really steep ladder through a hatch to get in. It was scary!

I got to look throught the periscope.

This is Daniel actually talking to someone on that weird ancient phone.

This is me saying, "What up"

This is a torpedo tube. Laura and Sarah climbed all the way to the end and wrote on the door at the end. I did not! It's really far down there and dark and I'm a little freaked out with small spaces!

Daniel, the ship's navigator. We didn't get lost ... :)

This is the wardroom where all the officers eat and hang out. This is where I come to eat with Daniel on the boat. We have also been here while he worked on CHARTS that were spread all over the wardroom table. Everyone has their own seats according to rank. So this is the Captain and I playing Rock Band! It would not be the Bremerton if we didn't play Rock Band. During the deployment, they all played lots of Rock Band!

Capt. Warner and his wife, Sarah.

So this is a lovely hole (hatch) in the top of the boat where we could go out the top (the bridge). This was painful! I thought I was going to DIE! There are 3 different ladders and they are NOT lined up! Going up was scary, coming down was almost impossible! My legs were full of lead because I'm afraid of heights! I needed a little guidance getting down! But the view up there... was incredible!

If you look closely, you can see Diamond Head.

Diamond Head
This was such a fun experience! I'm so glad I was able to do it. I may not ever get the chance again!

Friday Photo Shoot Out- Water- in Kapolei, Hawaii

This week's theme is Water. I thought I would have to go out to get it, but it actually came to me this time! It RAINED in Kapolei, Hawaii! YAY! Don't forget to click on the pictures to enlarge!

Since we moved here, we all take our shoes off outside. Everyone does this here and on the occasion that it rains all of our "slippers" get wet! We don't really mind though because we're just happy it rained!

The rain in Kapolei is very rare. When it does rain, it makes us feel like it's a different season. Hawaii has one season, Summer. It rains a lot on the other side but here, it is pretty much the desert! I took the rain pictures this morning.

This is a raindrop hitting my patio table.

This is a different kind of water! We spent the night at Bellows Air Force Base to capture some pictures of the sunrise and I also took these ...

This is a picture of a submarine in the water. I took this during my husband's homecoming from a deployment.

I'm getting ready to go on a dependant's cruise on my husband's submarine! I will make sure I take lots of pictures and post those in a few weeks. Thanks for stopping here to see my photos!

Bremerton Baseball Game

The USS Bremerton had a game- Khakis vs. Blues. Even with the Khakis saying they would double their score, they still lost. The score of the first game was ... Oh Lord... It was like 43 - 3. We won't talk about that anymore....
This is Drew, the XO of the boat.

This is Daniel with his Bad Fish shirt on.

A little blurry.. but there is a swing there...

Daniel in the dugout.

This is little AJ showing his disapproval of how the game is going down.

Yay~ He is growing so fast! What a cute boy!

Things got a little crazy out there... Drew handled it though!

AJ yelling profanities at the players... hahahah JK of course!
It was a great time! Marie (FRG Pres.) cooked all of us hamburgers and hotdogs, we had drinks and great company. It was a really fun day! I wish we could do it more!

Dolphin Scholorship Auction

Yesterday, we had lots to do. First, we went to see our friends, Paul and Angela and their baby, Donte! We hadn't seen them in like a month! He has grown so much! Paul and Angela also just moved from Lani Kai to Kailua into a bigger house! It's a great house! They also got a new car because a BIG Recycle truck hit their Volvo! Now Angela is sporting a very cute Nissan Altima! The new house is great and has LOTS of sunlight! So my photos are really light, but here they are...

Got Milk? Ang does.
Look at the nice big kitchen!
Daniel getting his baby fix.
Then we went to take Ally to her modeling class downtown, Honolulu! I used to hate the mall experience, but I'm really loving it lately! We always go to the mall and just walk around and look while we wait for Ally. I love the kitchen store and yesterday, I got these awesome measuring spoons! I love them!

Then we picked Ally up and went to JEANS WAREHOUSE so Ally could get some tops for her photo shoot coming up. I'll take some pics of her later in her new clothes! It felt like it took forever, but this even finally ended and we were back on the road to drop the kids at home before we headed to the Dolphin Scholorship Auction.

Looking fabulous, Joanne celebrates her Birthday! Happy Birthday Joanne!

And here are some random photos I took throughout the Auction. Enjoy!

This is a really cute picture of Mary and Ashley.
